Welcome to American Safe Room's RelyOn™ MDC website! RelyOn™ MDC is a broad spectrum surface disinfectant. It is prepared for use by mixing it with water to make a 1%, 2%, or 3% percent solution - depending upon what type of surface you are disinfecting. This solution is then applied to surfaces with a spray bottle or fogger. After 10 minutes of wet time, the surface can be wiped down, rinsed with water, or left to dry - depending on what type of surface it is. Food surfaces should be rinsed and dried while bathroom surfaces can be left to dry. We have been a Virkon™ distributor for a number of years. It's a great product - we use it both in our office and in our homes. The most convenient way to disinfect a toilet is to drop a tablet into a spray bottle, wet all the surfaces (tank, lid, seat, pedestal - everywhere), and then walk away - job done in under a minute. Food surfaces such as cutting boards and counters have just a couple more simple steps - after 10 minutes come back and wipe up the solution, rinse it with a wet cloth, then dry it. All without the danger of bleaching out clothing or the smell of chlorine. Recently, DuPont purchased the original manufacturing company and is distributing Virkon™ under the RelyOn™ MDC brand name. The product, the packaging, and the usage instructions are the same as Virkon™, but this is not the product formulated for agricultural use that is sold under the brand name Virkon-S™ - it is the original Virkon™ that has the important EPA registration as a broad spectrum hospital disinfectant.
